The Turkish-American Association’s Online Academic English Writing and Speaking Course is specially designed for graduate students, academics, and professionals who want to improve their academic writing and presentation skills. Academic Writing Skills

• Academic sentence structures and types of sentences

• Grammar and academic accuracy

• Expressing ideas clearly, logically, and coherently

• Writing introductory, body, and concluding paragraphs

• Paragraph organization and use of linking words

• Academic essay writing techniques

• Various types of academic essays

• Interpreting graphs and tables

• Providing examples and constructing supporting arguments

• Strategies and techniques for IELTS & TOEFL Writing

• Integrated writing activities using reading texts

• Developing academic vocabulary

Academic Speaking Skills

• Vocabulary and expressions used in academic contexts

• IELTS & TOEFL Speaking-focused vocabulary work

• Academic discussion and expressing opinions

• Presentation and academic speaking practice

• Balancing fluency and accuracy

• Class Days & Hours: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 19:00 – 21:35

• Course Dates: June 16 – August 20, 2026 

Who Can Attend?

Anyone with at least an Upper-Intermediate (B2) level of English can join this program.

Registration Process

Placement Test:

You can access the online placement test by clicking the following link: [ONLINE PLACEMENT TEST]

Oral Assessment:

After completing the placement test, students must schedule an appointment for an English oral assessment with the Academic Department representative.

Academic Advising:

During the appointment, our Academic Department representative will call you and provide detailed information about all available programs suitable for your English level and answer any questions.
A fee is charged for the interview with the Academic Department representative, which is deducted from the course fee upon registration.
